The BetterMiles app is the engine behind the School Charity Challenge. It’s how students track their activity, see their impact, and stay motivated throughout the event.
How It Works
Students start by downloading the app and signing up with their school email. During registration, they select their school, grade, and one charity from a curated list to support during the challenge.
Once the challenge begins, the app automatically tracks every step and mile—using the phone’s built-in sensors or a connected smartwatch. Each mile is then converted into real dollars based on a pre-set price per mile, with funds donated to the student’s selected charity.
