Sponsors can support the Challenge in two ways: 1) by pledging a fixed lump-sum donation, and/or 2) by committing to donate a specific amount for every mile completed by a particular student

1. Pledge a fixed amount

Pledges are combined into a single pool of funds. At the end of the Challenge, this pool will be divided among the charities chosen by students, in proportion to the total mileage each student has completed. The more a student moves, the more of the pooled donation their selected charity receives.
